Student Alumni Council, also known as SAC, is a 40-member organization that goes above and beyond to enhance the student experience and foster a lifelong connection to Clemson. The group is responsible for carrying out unique and memorable Clemson traditions such as the Ring Ceremony, Welcome Back Festival, Cocky’s Funeral, Mother of the Year, Master Teacher, and Senior Week. I have been a member of SAC since February 2023 and served as Vice President from December 2023 through 2024. In this role, I gained valuable leadership and public speaking experience, including addressing crowds of over 1,000 people at the Ring Ceremony. As Vice President, I was also responsible for overseeing the member selection process, which included reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and helping to shape the incoming class of SAC leaders. This position strengthened my organizational, evaluative, and leadership skills while also allowing me to play an active role in sustaining the council’s legacy and impact on Clemson’s campus.
